Hammer of the Gods

I often here the terms health and longevity used in certain peoples agenda's and in their language all the time. However I fear that most people do not quite understand what "good health" entails. In fact their are debates raging between the so called learned folks all the time. What are the best multivitamins? What are the best omega 3 supplements and then the debate begins doesn't it? I guess all that I am really trying to say is, do your own research rather than listening to a bunch of wanna be's blathering endlessly like the cowards they truly are.

The more we know

I find it almost (but not quite) inconceivable that there are still uniformed souls out there who still believe the big oil propaganda that global warming is a hoax, like they believe that a paleo diet is a hoax as well, it okay to think outside the box people . They do not try to understand the complex science and believe, therefore, that it's just some sort of ultra-liberal scare tactic. Well, it isn't and EVERY scientist has been very careful to report their findings in such a way as not to overly alarm the public. The truth is that if we don't do something fast, the great grandchildren of someone 30 years old today will not survive and we will be in jeopardy ourselves. Our species is heading toward a major population crash, because the climate will become too extreme to grow adequate amounts of food and clean water. Not just here, not just there. But everywhere. It has already started and it's progressing faster than the models had predicted, which is very scary to me and that is why I am writing about this subject in my health blog and it is not to soon to care about your health outside of the food you eat and the exercise  you get as well.

The further it go into crazy land

I was thinking of a scenario the other day that would be offer no insight into how to relieve stress this election has caused and would be absolutely dreadful but hilarious in the same light. Presidential hopefuls John McCain, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton what would happen if these three planed to form what many D.C. inside observers have already dubbed the 2008 Nightmare Ticket, a calculated move that political analysts say offers voters the worst of both worlds and would not be a wise example of how to relieve stress for the American public. After nearly a year of verbal attacks and negative campaign ads, the nominees announced that, for the good of the country, they were willing to push their differences to the forefront and grant the American people the ticket they've been dreading all along, even if McCain showed the rest of the least his washboard abs to prove he is not like George W. Bush... even though his record shows otherwise.

More crazy

The Jerusalem syndrome is the name given to a group through a peoplesearch were found to have a myriad of mental phenomena involving the presence of either religiously themed obsessive ideas, delusions or other psychosis-like experiences that are triggered by, or lead to, a visit to the city of Jerusalem. It is not endemic to one single religion or denomination, but has affected Jews and Christians of many different backgrounds. The condition seems to emerge while in Jerusalem and causes psychotic delusions which tend to dissipate after a few weeks. Of all the people who have suffered this spontaneous psychosis, all have had a history of previous mental illness, or where deemed not to have been ‘well’ before coming to the city.

Cake Day

So apparently, last week, it was Cake Day. My friend Kristen told me about it. There is no particularly right way to celebrate Cake Day
from I could gather. It is a take the day off and eat sweets day. I personally wouldn't try to make it the through the day on sugar alone.
I'd have to have a few omega 3 vitamins or else I'd never make it. So no work, no obligations aside from cookie and cake making. Oh,
and consuming mimosas.  But I also found myself reminding my friends of the benefits of vitamins just in case any of them forget. Cake
eating can be an addicting thing. I lost an uncle to that once. Not a pretty site.
